Sustainability and supply chains – how strong is the link?

Delighted to welcome John Ferguson, The Economist Intelligence Unit (The EIU) back for another interactive session. Join us to discuss supply chains, sustainability, and the role of higher education in meeting today’s challenges.

Summary

Global supply chains are set for a decade of change in the 2020s. Factors such as climate change, nationalism, geopolitics, and consumer preferences are all exerting pressure that will reshape how supply chains are configured. Sustainability trends, meanwhile, are a growing concern for multinational corporations (MNCs).

This session will address the likely impact of sustainability trends, considering the other factors already shaping supply chains, on the decision-making of MNCs. We will then discuss the role of higher education in meeting these challenges and assess the impact of these trends on the sector.
