Radhi: The Program is Distinguished Academically and Professionally “Business Consultant” Praises Ahlia’s Offer of a Master’s Program in “FinTech”

The Advisory Board of the College of Administrative and Financial Sciences at Ahlia University, chaired by Mr. Abbas Radhi, Managing Director of Senior Certified Public Accountants and Management Consultants, commended the college for introducing the Master of Science Program in Financial Technology (FinTech), which was launched by the university starting from the new academic year 2022/2023 with the aim of strengthening the Kingdom’s position as a leading site in financial technology at the regional level, and to meet the emerging needs of the financial and banking sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain, in terms of the need for qualified and specialized cadres in this field.

Mr. Abbas Radhi presided over the meeting of the Advisory Council of the College of Administrative and Financial Sciences, which includes elite members of industry, finance, and public administration in the public and private sectors, who are Dr. Essam Al-Alawi, Director of the Training and Manpower Development Department at the Ministry of Labor and Social Development, Dr. Ali Al-Mawlani, Chairman of the Certified Financial Analysts Association (CFA), Dr. Sh. Mohammed Hamad Al Khalifa, Head of the Monitoring and Evaluation in the Directorate of Crime Prevention in the Ministry of Interior, Mr. Nizar Maarouf, Assistant General Manager in Marketing and Innovation at Bahrain’s Electronic Network for Financial Transactions (Benefit), and Mr. Faisal Al-Khayyat Head of the Department of Continuous Learning Development at the Institute of Public Administration, and Mr. Faisal Al-Asfoor, Senior Director of Education and Training at Yousif Khalil Al-Moayyed & Sons Company. The meeting was attended by the Dean of the College, heads of departments, and directors of programs.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Council praised the efforts made by the Dean of the College, Dr. Allam Hamdan, and the college professors, and their positive interaction with the council’s observations and suggestions, while the members of the Council discussed the various preparations related to the Master’s in Financial technology program (M.Sc. in FinTech), such as curriculum plans, acceptance criteria, and software.

The program is prepared in accordance with the latest standards, equipment, and teaching methods used in teaching financial technology programs, while the university began receiving applications to join the program, which will start teaching at the beginning of the new academic year.
