NSSA Launches Competitions to Celebrate Bahrain’s First Satellite, “Al Munther”

We would like to inform you that the National Space Science Agency (NSSA) is organizing events and competitions to celebrate the launch of Bahrain’s first satellite, “Al Munther,” which is scheduled for launch in the first quarter of 2025. These initiatives aim to document this historic achievement for the Kingdom of Bahrain and to raise awareness about the significance of space exploration among future generations, encouraging interest in technology and innovation. The competitions will involve both academic staff and students from higher education institutions, as follows:

Competitions:

1. Best Innovative Idea for Utilizing Satellite Data
   
   • Eligible Participants: Academic staff and students of higher education institutions
2. Organizing an Event or Educational Exhibition about “Al Munther” Satellite
   
   • Eligible Participants: Higher education institutions
