Ahlia University Library organized a specialized training session aimed at enhancing the skills of students, faculty, and administrative staff in effectively utilizing the “Al Manhal” electronic database. The session is part of the University’s ongoing efforts to strengthen research capabilities and support educational and academic endeavors through advanced digital resources.
The training session, held on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at the Ahlia University Library, was conducted by Mr. Abdulghafoor, a representative of Al-Manhal Group. The session included a comprehensive overview of the database’s features and effective search techniques, emphasizing the use of advanced search filters. Participants also learned how to download academic files, manage user accounts, generate usage reports, and customize personal data settings.
Ms. Manayer Naseeb, Director of Library and Information Resources, highlighted that this session aligns with the library’s strategy to offer innovative digital services that facilitate learning and research. She noted that the library provides access to 142 electronic databases spanning various fields, including Business Administration, IT, Physical Therapy, Interior Design, and Public Relations. Additionally, the library offers over 10,000 e-books, 10,000 e-journals, and 11,000 physical books, creating a robust environment for education and research.
